A day out at Peasholm Park

Peasholm Park is one of Scarborough's main attrractions. A tranquil lake, a tree trail, a bandstand, the naval warfare battle, home to the Open Air Theatre, there is always something to do or see there.

If you fancy hiring a boat for the lake you can choose from a traditional rowing boat, a canoe, or almost everyone's favourite, a pedalo with a dragon's head.  Alternatively, take the less energetic option and fo for a sail on the Swan Launch.

Take a wander down to the bandstand and have a listen to the music which is on most afternoons.

For anyone even remotely interested in nature, a walk through the Tree Trail is a must where you can have a look at some great specimens of local and in some cases very rare trees.

A list of events for 2011 is here.

Enjoy your day or even days out here.  It's a firm favourite with locals as well as visitors due to the vast number of things to see.
