So what do you do if you're holidaying in Scarborough?
Well, to be honest there is so much going on in Scarborough it's hard to know where to start.
The obvious answer is The Beach. Scarborough has two beaches: North Bay and South Bay.
The South Bay is on the front and what many would consider to be Scarborough Beach. Plenty of sand, close to the countless kiosks and cafes selling food, drinks and ice creams. Cross the road and you can spend hours in the arcades shoving 2ps (or more) into machines in the vain hope you may actually come out with more money than you started with. Although you won't get your money back there are plenty of toys to get out of the machines. They will be the most expensive "cheap" toys you'll ever go home with but it passes a bit of time, particularly if the weather isn't too good.
The North Bay beach on the other hand is quieter and very few things to spend your hard earned cash on - so less pester power for the ice creams, hot dogs, chips and sweets.
North Bay is where you'll find the Sealife Centre (if you're lucky you may even find some vouchers in the local press for discount entries) and it's only a short walk from there to Peasholm Park. The park is free to enter and usually has plenty to look at and ducks to feed.
